Older hardware can't run features of newer software designed for new/er more powerful hardware. IPad 2,3 and 4 models are 4 years old and do not support AND will never support any of the new, cool and useful features of an iOS upgrade/update as these only work on newer iDevices with much more powerful hardware specs.Įach new iOS release, EXPECT, older model iPads, ESPECIALLY, iPads 2, 3, 4 and 1st gen Mini iPads, to get fewer and fewer iOS features, even on a basic iOS functionality level and, eventually no support for a future release of a brand new iOS. You cannot uninstall/downgrade/revert to a previous iOS version once you upgraded/updated your iDevice to the latest iOS version.Īpple doesn't support iOS downgrading of their mobile devices.Įven if this was, remotely, possible, Apple stops signing on the previous iOS version only after a few days after the initial release of a new iOS version.Īll of the new and cool features of any recent iOS versions are limited to new or newer iDevices.
